On December 3rd, 2017, a charity event “Colourful paws” was held in the pet centre Dino Zoo Pasaule. Latvian artists and dog handlers from the association Bezvests.lv together with their pets, search and rescue dogs, participated in the event. The organizer of the event – the association for people with special needs MOTUS VITA.
Every visitor could see a rescue dogs show, participate in creation of a thematic painting under the guidance of a professional artist, as well as communicate to like-minded persons in a warm and cosy atmosphere. Dog handlers and volunteers from the association Bezvests.lv showed the way the four-legged friends help to search for lost people and answered related questions. Children particularly appreciated tricks performed by the search dogs. And of course, the event didn’t get without group photos.
“People, dogs, and colours met at one place” – says Latvian artist Liga Zile, who made ready especially for this occasion colouring pictures with dogs for children and grown-ups. The participants went together to create a common thematic painting dedicated to the event.
For several years already the association MOTUS VITA has been organizing charity events inviting children from disadvantaged families and people with special needs.
